The progress is moving along, even though the weather has not been cooperating!
This week, the roof has been completely installed, the electric work is about complete, and the retaining wall has been constructed.
We are waiting for some inspections to be completed before the finishing touches can be made on the structure and the concrete floor poured.
THEN comes the process of building new benches for the expanded building, a new altar, light fixtures and fans and other items installed. Landscaping around the structure will take place in the next few weeks, and grass seed will be spread.
A BIG Thank you to all who have given to the Shelter House Fund - the 200 envelope campaign has raised over $20,000 to date. A few more envelopes still have yet to come in, which will put us well over the goal of $20,100.
FINALLY, the word for the time being is PATIENCE - we want to get the work completed, give time for the concrete to set up a bit and let the workers complete their work before we move in. So even though it looks like we should be moving in, it will be another couple of weeks before all is done.
Here are some pictures of the progress.
